You Can't Put a Price on Blogging Time

Seeing as how blogging taking care of my children will soon be my full time job I thought it necessary to arm myself with some crafts. I've avoided craft projects in my home for almost 4 years. Even still, when Bob saw the bags he said, oh that's a whole lotta mess just waiting to be made.

My husband sees the makings of a craft project and cringes. Not because of the craft. No. Because the project, heaven forbid, may make a mess. An itty bitty tiny gargantuan mess. This coming from the same man who will make the biggest mess of all of us and not even flinch. This coming from a man who can't seem to understand why my kids rush to wash their hands the second a potential mess gets near their paws.

I present to you what seemed like a whole lot more for $95 in the store.

The kids starting their first official project in our home (totally a lie, we made Grandma a concrete stone for Mother's Day but let's face it I did that project almost entirely).

...10 minutes later.

The key to get the most blogging time out of a project is to include a task that is a touch daunting such as peeling stickers...10 minutes later, still not much progress.

I couldn't stand to watch the project stay at a standstill, so, I pitched in.

...30 minutes later...

I present to you two toddlers ready for Poker!

Can I pause for a brief moment to show you something?

The shear weight of this sticker cluster bends the hat, people.

You just wait, I'll be buried under foam stickers by morning.

Oh God, I'm dying. Too funny. I love seeing kids put their own twist on art projects. Stacking the stars...definitely never would have thought of doing that.

ps I'll take Pike, you take Pine...between the two of us we should be able to earn enough for Blogher. Don't worry about the kids, I have passes to the Children's Museum, we can just drop them off there for the weekend.

ps again. Congratulations I nominated myself. :) Sometimes you gotta take initiative in life. Everyone does it...now you go do it and I'll vote for you. ;)

Ah, the craft thing is fun, when we get around to it. I didn't just say that, did I? My mom is cringing..heh.

Usually, the messiest craft stuff I take them outside for. It seems they are less willing to clean up with me out there, though.

*Sigh* We'll get it right one day...

I love the star stack!

We accidently bought foam Dora and Diego crapft pieces. Not only were they stuck on everything, those white peel off pieces were showing up every place. It was like I had a wax-paper stalker and every time I turned around there was more proof.

Welcome to hell, I mean being a stay at home mom.

I love doing crafts with my toddler too. She makes a big huge mess while I blog. We're both happy. Until I have to clean up of course.

I would, too, but I'd like to keep my money. I'm bad at poker like that.

I love foam stickers! You get used to finding stuff everywhere. My daughter has been a little artist since birth. We own stock in the paper/tape/staple/crayon companies. It makes it easier. LOL!

We have always loved crafts around here. It's great when the kids spread the art all around...like when they put about 40 Valentine's heart stickers all over the dish washer (I couldn't peel them off) or when they snuck some stickers into the van and decorated the van windows (again, hard to peel off). Oh, washable markers don't wash off of leather seats.

Art rules around here!

I hate foam sticker things, everyone in here is fibbing don't believe them Kandace. Craft things are better left to the experts. Take your kids outside to play in the mud!

I love crafts. Always give the kids material to work with because they will use whatever they find - like Ali who took my roll of stamps and put them all over the side of the Jeep Pickup truck. Yeah, ranch truck, lick on stamps -they could not be recovered and I remember how annoyed I was about the monetary loss which probably was $2! The good ole days.... I am now having that song "Memories" playing thru my head. Your turn.

This was great. Always happy to see moms stepping out of their comfort zone and doing crafts witht the kids. Next week I will be on a local new channel as an 'expert' on children summer crafts! So I loved this post. I thought the 3d effect of stacking the stickers was so creative! He will make a heck of a poker player!

Hey your little one did better than mine would. Mine would have gotten bored and started eating the stars. :)

Again, we are married to the same guy. That's ALL my husband would be thinking about.. the mess.

How cute are those kids? And, yes, you will totally be covered in foam by morning.

It isn't hard at all to start making money online in the hush-hush world of blackhat cpa methods, You are far from alone if you haven’t heard of it before. Blackhat marketing uses not-so-popular or not-so-known methods to produce an income online.
