My oldest brother and his wife ran half marathon Sunday morning in a town very near mine. Seeing as how I don't get to see them often I decided the kids and I would rally and show a little support at the finish line.
I even rallied my other brother...from his condo...10 yards from the finish...before noon. No small task. Ok so his girlfriend actually rallied him but I called.
Somehow in the sea of runners we missed them. Entirely. An hour after they crossed we were still clapping for other racers.
Proof. I present my other brother.
If you look closely you can see his enthusiasm.

Hey, do I also see a long ponytail or is that my imagination?

Chris, it might be the nicest ponytail in the history of my family. His hair is nicer than mine by a long shot!
My dad is a marathon freak. I've flown half way across the country to go stand at a midway point and clap for him for the five seconds he's in view. Then we'd get in the car and race to the next point and wait to see him run by. All quite boring stuff, but important for family to know we care and we support them.
Sucks you missed them though. Ack!
Too bad your brother couldn't get into it. LOL! I bet you guys are a hilarious family!!
Well, slap a camera in front of him and call you two twins!
How nice that you were able to escape from the house for a few hours. Seeing as you are totally chained to the desk now, working from your home. Away from your computer. And me.
If only you didn't have to eat.
Way to go on impromptu family gathering, especially to include those who don't rouse before noon! ;) haha! His hair is amazing!
Hey, its the thought that counts, or is that just effort or ...well if it was my siblings you'd BETTER have the pic for me to believe you were there. Stinks to go to all that effort and not get your 5 seconds as a good sister in as they pass. Darn.
I see SeaFair! The races are always near my B-day aug. 4th. Fun Fun Fun!
My oldest brother cut off his ponytail and gave it to me for Christmas.
He told me to donate it to locks of love...it's still around here somewhere...
Today's reminder of just how out of shape I am is Kandace's brother. I think I'd pass out before mile 3. Kudos to him for pulling it off. That's something to be proud of!
And hour later they were off having lunch and you were still clapping at other runners. *giggle* Doesn't anyone own a cell phone? :P
lol, I do see some enthusiasm I think!!!
I love marathons, they are so exciting to watch and I think it's cool to see all the runners come into the finish line. Even if you don't get to see family members finish the race ;-)
Who was watching your blog while you went out?
Some sunlight probably did you some good. Looks like your brother got the crazy gene too...
Marathon, wow! great abition. I am trying to get back to the gym regularly.
