My Baby

She is my youngest child, my baby. We have that in common, though I am the youngest of 4 children and she of 2. The very nature of her birth order compels her to put on a show at the drop of hat. The photo above is the result of me asking her to show me how cute she is - that kid makes me laugh.

Like I did as a child I am sure she feels somewhat doted over - only difference I can see is that she revels in the doting whereas I thought it was annoying. (Although clearly I do like attention - I mean I have a blog, right?) So, we have that in common, too.

And while she is usually busy following her brother around she often finds time to weasel her little way into my heart and the hearts of the entire family because those eyes? They sparkle with curiosity and wonder sprinkled with a dash of mischievous.

Queue her brother when he's had enough of her getting all the attention. He's the rule follower and easy going one - generally not at all mischievous. He sweet talks his way into the hearts of our family by just being sweet and caring.

This is her response to her brothers shenanigans! (That is it, people, remember? This is about me? Never forget that - that would be a travesty. I think she made her point.)
